Radio Nalta

Today is Radio Nalta 99.2FM Birthday. 13 july 2011 is the first airing day so is this day is very important of our community. Radio Nalta is the only one Community Radio at Satkhira District.

Radio Nalta 99.2 Fm “voice of voiceless people” is situated at Nalta Sharif under Kaligonj Upazilla in Satkhira district. World largest mangrove forest Sundarbans is by the south.The River Isamathi flows by it. Our neighbour country India is by the west. Bhomra export import land border is also here in satkhira. Kolaroa upozilla is North of Satkhira.Besides important industrial area,District Sadar Hospital,Municipality and 60 Haat Bazar are also here in this coverage area.Prown known as White gold is also cultivate here.

Radio Nalta is situated at village Nalta, upazilla Kaligonj under the District of Satkhira. The people of this area are deprived of different issues such as information service, sensuousness of education and basic right, democratic process, awareness rising about anticorruption etc. The people of this area are backward as well as deprived of basic gap of democratic process. Radio Nalta has become a broadcasting media in the whole Satkhira district.Radio Nalta is one of the most outstanding Media. It started working form 13th July 2011. It has been broadcasting various programs on agriculture, HIV/AIDS awareness, maternal health; resource persons experience sharing, climate change issues, news, various health issues, education, livelihood, drama, talk show, various program live show, magazine program etc. It helps to make people conscious and develop their standard of life.

Sometimes programs are broadcast on early marriage, child labour drop out of school, education for children etc. Radio Nalta has 300th listeners club and each of it has 13-35members and they are contributing to develop social human stars. Now the total volunteers of Radio Nalta are 9050. They take part in different programs such as Music, drama, news etc. First Friday of every month drama session is conducted and 2nd Friday news session is conducted and third Friday music session is conducted and last Friday meeting of programs are held. Besides general conference is held every 3 month. In the third Friday of every month an audition is taken place for the interview of candidates and they are given scopes to work.

It is an initiative of Nalta Hospital. Nalta Hospital and Community Health Foundation (NHCHF) is a Non-government development Organization established in 1999. The Organization is situated in South west part of Bangladesh. Head office: Trauma Center Bhaban, 22/8-A, Shyamoli, Dhaka-1207. Project office is: Vill-Nalta, Post-Nalta Mubarak Nagar, Upazilla-Kaligonj, and District-Satkhira. Bangladesh.
