Bangladesh Udichi Kaliganj Branch Sangsad is working on issues of right to information, climate change, justice and climate impact. They are once again bringing a new way of drama for the people of Satkhira. On Thursday 22nd June 2023 at 5 pm the first stage of the road play “Right to Information, Climate Change Justice and Addressing Climate Impacts” was staged at the premises of Bangdah Gobardari Collegiate School, Satkhira. After the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, the play will be staged at various places in Kaliganj Upazila and Shyamnagar Upazila. The play is written by Agragati Sanstha, Satkhira. The Cutter Center Bangladesh in financial support and Aghagati Sansthan Satkhira in implementation. Patha drama titled right to information, climate change, justice and climate impact is being staged by the theater troupe of Satkhira, Udichi Kaliganj Branch Sangsad, Bangladesh, in the southwestern part of Bangladesh.
Udichi Natyadal is doing this work as a social responsibility in the project to increase the information rights of Dalit and marginalized women. President of Bangladesh Udichi Kaliganj branch Sangsad Salim Sharier told the reporter “We protest against all the inconsistencies of the Udichi activist society with cultural plays and songs. It is my organizational work. During the Corona period, I was performing the play “Bachte Hola Jante hbe” Patha Natak in every upazila of Satkhira in 40 places. Currently working on natural disasters, climate change and justice. We are telling the people about our right to information law. The people of Satkhira are drama lovers and ordinary people are getting to know a lot by watching the drama. We hope to do more work on this in the future. I am grateful to all the cooperative organizations or organizations that are cooperating with us.”
Bangladesh Udichi Kaliganj Branch Sangsad, Satkhira Kaliganj Upazila not only in the whole of Satkhira, people of all walks of life have applauded for the information service they are providing in their drama. They want to see something new in their performance.
