A high level 4 member delegation from Royal Netherlands Embassy and Ministry of Agriculture visited RegenAgri Certified Ambagan at Kalaroa, Satkhira. Last year 2022, 500 mango farmers included in the successful project received a three-year certificate from the audit company certification agency Control Union UK Limited for their expertise in producing and marketing safe and pest-free mangoes.
On Monday (May 15) at noon, a delegation led by the Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, Mr. Thais Oudstra, visited the regenerative certified mango orchard of Kabirul Islam Dabul, a mango grower, in Ilishpur village of Kerelkata Union of Kalaroa Upazila. The delegation visited mango harvesting, grading, sorting, packaging, etc. operations of regenerative agriculture in mango cultivation and talked to the representatives and farmers of Agora and Unimart, the two famous super shops of mango marketing in Bangladesh.

Visit Kabirul Islam W mango garden, now in their mango garden: intercropping and tree planting, mulching, low tillage in the garden, enclosing fences, making organic fertilizers from garden waste, using organic pesticides, fremontrap, yellow board, mahogany oil, water in the garden and update farm record books for energy efficient use and traceability. In all these activities, mango farmers are becoming self-sufficient by producing safe mangoes and selling them at good prices.
The All for Integrated Water Resource Management (SAFAL for IWRM) project implemented by Solidarity Network Asia and its subsidiary Uttaran and Jagarani Chakra Foundation with the financial support of the Royal Netherlands Embassy has planted 500 mangoes in Satkhira district headquarters, Kalaroa, Debhata, Asashuni, Tala and Sharsha upazilas of Jessore districts. Farmers are working to improve the skills of farmers in producing and marketing safe and pest-free mangoes through regenerative farming methods through farmers’ contract farming.

High-level representatives of the Royal Netherlands Embassy and the Ministry of Agriculture visited RegenAgri certified mango orchards and expressed their satisfaction with the activities of the mango growers and expressed the hope that Bangladesh will be able to brand Satkhira’s high-quality and delicious mangoes by joining modern retail chains of European countries in terms of safe mango production marketing and fair procurement.
